Tivoli Gardens is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and it is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. It lives and breathes in the heart of Copenhagen. The Main Entrance on 3 Vesterbrogade, the Station Entrance across the road from the Central Station, or the Glyptotek Entrance on the corner of Tietgensgade and H.C. Andersens Boulevard.

The park is best known for its wooden roller coaster, Rutsjebanen – It is one of world’s oldest wooden roller coasters that are still in operation. I still love to ride it when I visit and I still scream my lungs out! I always used to visit here as a kid during the summer months – I still go as an adult each time I revisit Copenhagen.

There is a lot to both see and do here and you can easily spend a full day roaming about. There is a fireworks display at midnight but you need to check which day during the week – I know it happens on a Saturday. I love to people watch here and I am more than happy to walk about making lomo images and I think you will feel the same.
