Drove to Point Reyes National Seashore the other day and loved it! Was definitely more than just a stretch along Highway 1 of various beaches. The seashore is a Peninsula that stretches out into the Pacific Ocean and there is a variety of natural eye candy along the way. Did some hiking (that went through meadows, wooded areas, a horse ranch, etc) drove out to the tip (was nearly blown away by the wind!) and stopped at Drakes Beach. Perfect beach to visit if it’s windy, as the cliffs keep the worst of it away. There were also many historic ranches out there, cows included!
Was strange coming back into town. Made me feel almost claustrophobic after being out in the open all day.
