A happy but cold afternoon on my first Lomo date.
Equipped with a camera in each hand (Coloursplash & Supersampler) I saw the South Bank afresh – with ‘just shoot’ as my mantra I snapped happily – funny how when you’re the observer you feel invisible – my presence insinuated, my senses alive – birds, boats, Elvis, giant Manga characters, onion smells, shrieks, giggles, oaths – my favorite bit of the day was enjoying following my own path; somehow with two cameras I didn’t need a dog to walk or a place to be going I could just ‘be’ and what a perfect place to just ‘be’ – my advice? pick up a camera and let it be your raison d’etre, but wear gloves!!
