One of the best times to visit the bustling Southbank is during the Summer. Although filled with tourists the fun of ambling along in the sun and seeing everyone enjoy themselves is fantastic.
Packed with culture both high and low! From the Tate Modern to the Street Performers, Hayward Gallery; Dali Museum; Bank side; OXO tower and The Globe to the Royal Festival Hall; National Theatre; NFT; BFI IMAX; London eye (Millennium Wheel) and the Aquarium.
The London Eye dominates the skyline and should not be missed, on a clear day you get incredible views and take a good camera.
Walking toward the Southbank Complex which has been refurbished the new eateries are packed both indoor and out. People meeting or waiting for performances to start or just watching the world go by, sometimes on skateboards. The place to go if you want to show off your moves is here and its also great to look at if you like graffiti!
The Tate Modern is a must see whether it’s for the current exhibition or it’s collection. One of the best places to get a view across the river is from the very top in the Café/ restaurant, you can go outside and get some great shots with a wide angle! Or if not outside try a few sneaked glimpses through windows of the gallery.
