I’m going to talk about The Garden Infant D. Pedro most well known as “Jardim da Macaca”, “Garden of Monkey” in English. The garden has this bizarre name because a long time ago there lived a female monkey who made company to animals like vain ducks, doves, fishes that never got tired of swimming, who also live in the park. When we enter the park the first thing that is remarkable is the warmed ambient of this green space.
There are always a lot of people, doing several things like jogging, walking, flirting on the seats with a beautiful view to the lake, playing football in a little camp or enjoying the peace and tranquility of the park. This garden has a place where children can play alone or with one another, there is a playground with some things to have fun. In the center of the park there is a large lake with a lot of ducks. When someone comes nearby they go to the person to say “Welcome!” and invite them to go for a walk in the green nature.
Interesting Places
- Tea House where the Equestrienne practices;
- Hunting and Fishing Museum;
- A football field and a camp of tennis;
- The Company of Theatre of Aveiro where, sometimes, some plays are shown to the public.
