Hit Bottle Beach! (Koh Phangan)
written by vstephanie on March 17th, 2009 , 6 comments (4 votes)

Don’t ask me why it’s named Bottle Beach. That’s not what I’m trying to clarify. What I want to do is show you a beach with the most turquoise colored, crystal clear, yummy on the skin feeling water ever! I’ve been to A LOT of beaches, but nothing quite remarkable as this one.

I dedicated one day for Bottle beach, having spent nearly a week in Koh Phangan and hearing from fellow backpackers that it’s a must see for the island long termers. It is dubbed to be the most beautiful beach on the island and I absolutely reconfirm that.

Its inaccessibility means that not many island visitors make their journey there as it is only reachable by boat taxi from Chaloklam bay. The shorelines are golden with a backdrop of green mountainous coves and hills surrounding this precious spot.

The long tail boat ride doesn’t take hours as the beach is virtually tucked around a few rocky corners. However, if the weather shows off its bad side you will get stranded here for a few days because boats can only steer through calm seas. But don’t worry if you do because there is a hippie resort with full facilities in case you even want to enjoy the Bottle for longer.

Take a ride on the swings, feel the breeze under the palm trees, burn your skin under the sun, and cool off in the water with your coconut – this is a place where you can fully unwind and disconnect yourself from the world.

Bottle beach is unquestionably my favorite seashore getaway. Also know as Haad Khuat by the way!

Do they still ask 100 Bath to go to the fullmoon party? This really sucks...
