Newcastle has much to offer and maybe I am biased as this is my hometown & I love it! Newcastle upon Tyne often just called Newcastle is a city and metropolitan borough of Tyne and Wear, in North East England. It’s located on the north bank of the River Tyne, the city grew and developed from the Roman settlement called Pons Aelius, however it owes its name to the castle built in 1080, by Robert II, the eldest son of William the Conqueror.
Newcastle know for it love of football, Brown Ale (locally called a bottle of dog) and wild ‘party’ night life – many times in the city you will find groups wandering around dressed in bizarre outfits getting drunk on hen and stag nights – which basically means getting together as a group before a wedding – the last night of freedom for the bride or groom! Newcastle has many things to offer and many places so cool that your lomo trigger finger will almost fall off, here is a list of some which I personally love – The Baltic Museum (yeah ok ok it’s technically in Gateshead but you can still see it from Newcastle) The Tyne bridge, the Crown Posada (which is a tiny pub), basically all Newcastle quayside is mega mint.
I have shot more lomo images in Newcastle than anywhere else in the world – the possibilities are endless and I never get bored of shooting here :)
