It’s a big luck that London happened to be built by a river. Cities with a river have completely different vibes. The most marvelous site to make lomos is only from waterside. Everything looks more beautiful from the boar and London is a very water friendly city. There are plenty of water routs to try.
One of them starts from the famous Tower Bridge. Take the cruise boat on the north side of the river (check the Tower of London or Cathrine’s Dock before that if you have time. Mind blowing architecture and order!) and head to Greenwich, or even river Thames barrier, which is the last stop. From there you can take the boat again and go back to Westminster and our beloved Big Ben. You can spend all day on the river! Time is not running so fast anymore while you are sailing. Old and new – everything gets mixed in front of your eyes.
Remarkable that the boat’s captain doesn’t want you to get bored from sightseeing, so he tells the stories about pirates and other stuff, you can even see the pub built on the place where the last pirate was beheaded. If you like captain’s stories, leave him 1 pound when you leave the boat. There are sensitive discounts for students and London travel card holders.
