Lomography

Last year I've been traveling to Malta. I can recommend it to anyone. There's lots of beautiful things to visit and see and the Maltese people are very kind and warm. I often saw photogenic seniors enjoying the sunny weather and friends. When I asked them to take a photo they didn't mind and wished me a good day after wards. I took some spontaneous portraits of the locals, they didn't do a silly pose or anything. They just stayed themselves. I loved that!

I often saw photogenic seniors enjoying the sunny weather and friends. When I asked them to take a photo they didn’t mind and wished me a good day after wards. I took some spontaneous portraits of the locals, they didn’t do a silly pose or anything. They just stayed themselves. I loved that!

At night, it was great to sit by the water with a cold beer. It was still pretty warm outside, so you could just sit there in your t-shirt and shorts. Great! One of the coolest things we saw was this refreshment stop near the Limestone Heritage in Siggiewi. It was a fan that sprinkled some water over passengers, very refreshing.

While shop sellers love tourists, I had the feeling Malta was still a bit unknown to the masses. And when we were wandering around the picturesque little streets or the funny old buses, we sometimes didn’t see any tourists. Near the huge cliffs in Dingli we even didn’t see anybody, it almost felt like a desert! Windmills included.

Malta is a great island, and so is the nearby Gozo and Comino. These three islands are definitely recommended to visit!
