Whenever I think of looking for a good book to read or some research back in college, I consider the UP Visayas (University of the Philippines – Visayas) Library a first place to visit. Great books and “hard-to-find” books can be found here. In those times where Internet connection was still scarce and nowhere to be found, library can be the best place for research. There are also several library nooks in the city but I find this one user-friendly. Found it funny, it is now called UP School of Library and Information Studies.

There are several reasons why I love going to this place. The librarian maybe a bit mean, but she knows her rules. Also, books are almost complete.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine held his exhibit in this place. Since the library has really a big room for exhibits and other personal causes, it’s a nice place to share your art, photography and other media to the people and friends.

UP Visayas Library is located inside the campus of the UP Visayas. Upon entering the gate, you have to ask for the security guards to locate you to the library and they will take you there.
