Bahay Kubo Ni Capt, Tanauan Batangas (fronting Taal Lake)

“Bahay Kubo” ni Captain. The owner of this beautiful resort is a friend of my Dad, Capt. Rico Jay Hermoso. They used to be shipmates on board during their seaman days. I immediately fell in love with the place the moment i step foot on it. The view of Taal is perfect not to mention the sunrise and sunset. There is so much that you can do here. On our first day, we rode a boat to the Taal volcano.

It was just a 15-min travel from the resort. We were able to see the crater itself and used a horse to be able to go through the rocky and windy path. The ride was worth it. As we head back to the Kubo (Hut), we can see the view of the whole Tagaytay. The place has a big garden where we played frisbee, volleyball and badminton. Come midnight, we sing our hearts out with the videoke while we eat and drink merrily. It is perfectly located at the second floor to enjoy the lake’s breeze. The next day, we took turns to try for the first time the jet ski. In addition to the lake, the resort also has a pool and jacuzzi which both adults and kids enjoy. Now the resort, also offers kayaking and an hour ride of the banana boat.

My family and I loved the place so much. The serenity it brings to one’s heart and mind. We come here almost every weekend and because we love the place so much, we bought the vacant lot beside it.

Thanks to Bahay Kubo ni Capt for all the wonderful memories. This is why i thought of sharing this location to all lomographers. May they also value family bonding the way i experienced it here.
