Vladimir is situated on the left side of the river Kljazma in 180 km tj the north-west from Moscow. This beautiful old city is the part of «The Golden Ring of Russia», the unity of ancient russian cities which are famous for their remained unique old monuments of history and culture.

While driving up to the city you may enjoy the wonderful view. From the bridge over river Kljazma we saw the city situated on a huge hill. Vladimir is famous for its beautiful old churches and cathedrals, white stronghold wall, the Gold Gate, which protected the city in ancient times and was the parade entrance into the city. Except for the sight-seeings in the center there are many things which is worth watching. For example the great number of old wood houses which are still inhabited, the city park, the place where citizens and their children may have a rest and enjoy skiing and skating. Despite the fact that Vladimir is a rather big city and is the tourist center, still the rythm of life there seems to be pleasantly slow and calm.
