Zigzag because from the city of Iloilo going Zarraga requires one a strength over zig-zag roads! Going there is like riding a big snake; the car is going to the right direction and suddenly, to the left! Very strange, indeed.
Zarraga is most likely a town. This is where I once had my duty for Community Health Nursing. In a semester’s frame, there will be a set of 10 days visiting a town, looking for a family and spending a day with them. Zarraga is not really that far from the city but people living here are aimed for that “simple life”. All you can see are quite the plain green rice fields, trees all over and some little buildings and establishments nearby.
Farm life as it is, ducks, cows and other farm animals are being taken care with. Most of my classmates would sometimes go home carrying bananas and other fruits especially apples and oranges since most of the people there are growing them. Well, not to count the vegetables!
Zarraga is truly a simple place to be. Most of the locations here are something to be brag about or give a glimpse of great shrines and places, but here is Zarraga; opening our eyes to a simple town with simple hopes. While some people are busy working on the 30th floor, some guys here are busy basking their lives under the heat of the sun, collecting rice and other things, just to give the big world plenty of rice and foods enough to eat.
