Just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, is an amazing place. Laumeier Sculpture park is a lomographer’s dream location. The park is filled with gigantic sculptures that rest along several trails. Any one of these sculptures provides enough photo opportunities to fill rolls of film, but the park contains dozens of wonderful works for you to shoot.
The grounds of the park are beautiful and the sculptures spark your imagination as a photographer. The sculptures are very hands-on, so you can get shots of your friends with some awesome backdrops. The park is also expanding, so soon there will be even more sculptures on display. The highlight of the park is the giant eyeball sculpture. This huge eyeball is the kind of artistic oddity that we lomographers crave.
If you are in the area, however, be sure to allow plenty of time for this park. You could easily spend a full day hear. My advice is to pack a lunch and make a day of it. Pack lots of film and enjoy! This a location that you can return to many times and find great inspiration and ideas.
