Chatuchak Market, Thailand
written by thaiseb on January 31st, 2009 , 6 comments (1 vote)

Chatuchak Park is located in Chatuchak District in Bangkok. But more than a park, there is something here that no tourist would miss : the week-end market. To go there, you can use Sky train and stop at Mo Chit, or the subway at Chatuchak. Or the bus, but don’t ask me what lines, there are too many in this town…

This market is the biggest in Thailand (35 acres accorded to Wikipedia). And you can find almost what you can imagine inside : food, clothes, jewels, animals, music, movies, etc. But this is not only a place to buy and eat, it’s a wonderful place for pictures. Colors, people, everything here is a subject for your camera. Musicians playing for their school or for money, lost tourists, funny cops… So if you go there, just some advices : bring your favorites cameras, and shoot everything. You are sure to get great pictures.

Thank you. I used Velvia xpro and developped at Bangkok. I always got pink colors with this film, but this time it's red, and it looks so much better !
