Parque das Águas

It´s a huge park inside the heart of the Sao Lourenço city, one most famous tourist destiny in Brazil, and one smallest Brazilian town (second smallest, actually), and it´s name is “Parque das Águas”.

It´s a huge park inside the heart of the Sao Lourenço city, one most famous tourist destiny in Brazil, and one smallest Brazilian town (second smallest, actually), and it´s name is “Parque das Águas”.

The city had a lot of thermal and special water that just pop out from the ground. People of the city made this park around the most of the water fountains that you can visit, besides it´s amazing nature, it´s a one of kind experience in your life: drink the most exotic and medicinal waters of the world.

The park had that beautiful art deco architecture and lots of green areas to run with the kids, jogging, or just spend several film rolls with the strange combination of weird golden lions statues with this strange and delicious gasose water flowing all day long. Looks like it´s never stops.

Follow the trails, walk through the trees, climb the weird and old stone ladder and see the beauty of the park from above.
Just give a try, smell the gases from one water fountain, drink the water and shoot like crazy after. You will love the place.
To get there, from Rio de Janeiro (that everyone in the world know where is), get the Via Dutra Highway to the road know by “Estrada Real”, right into the middle of the Minas Gerais State. Just follow the directions; São Lourenço is on this road.
