The City of Vancouver just recently experienced its biggest Winter snowfall since 1967. Traditionally Vancouver does not get a lot of snow or any at all but this year 2ft of snow fell in the city itself, it made for hazardous traveling conditions with the airport delays, train cancellations, buses not running, cars being stranded everywhere. The City itself was unprepared.
The weather did make for a great opportunity to see a Vancouver not seen in 30 years, people walked more, lots of folk were out with there Cameras, landmarks were so much different in the snow. The place felt different, there was more of a community spirit, people were clearing there Driveways and Pavements outside there houses. I hope these photos capture what it felt like in these winter days and that you can see a new side to Vancouver.
