Multnomah Falls
written by poieater on January 10th, 2009 , 2 comments (1 vote)

Multnomah Falls are located about 20 minutes east of Portland off the 84 freeway. I have been there many times in the Summer and this was the first time I was there in the Winter. It was in the middle of an Arctic Storm so the walls around the falls were completely frozen!

Occasionally you would hear a loud crash and turn around to see a large block of ice the size of a car falling off of the cliffs. If you go on the historic 30 higway that runs parallel to the 84 you can see dozens of amazing waterfalls along the Columbia River

Beatiful Photo's, I especially like shot 10 and 12, they look like a René Margritte painting :)
    very nice location
