We slept at 2am, wake up at 5am.
Edmund is chasing us from our bed and waking us up. Wow. Where are we going at this hour?? He promise we wont regret to wake up early.
Sungai Lembing is where we heading to.
It’s a waste that it’s raining for the whole night, the night before. If not, we are ready for some exercising and some breathtaking view on top of the peak of this Lembing Hills.
A famous and not-to-be-missed place to go when u visit to Kuantan, Pahang. It’s located 42 km northwest of Kuantan. Due to the rain might causing slippery hill, we skipped the hiking plan and only proceed to the breakfast trip down the hill. Sungai Lembing is not only famous for it’s hill climbing and the breathtaking sea of clouds, but also tasty food.
Tasty home made noodles and very delicious ‘yeong taufu’ (stuffed bean curd) making the place full house almost everyday. Tourist bus come from different places, early in the morning, just for the food!
Besides that, Sungai Lembing is actually a tin mining town during 1880’s till 1970s.
We walk around the small town and discovering a lot of interesting shop houses, trees and buildings. During end of the year, it’s the raining season, and the town is well known of flood and normally will flood till roof top once it happen. Nowadays, a lot of people is moving out and left the empty old shop houses abandoned.
The silent and emptiness of the town, showed the mysterious side of this small town.
