Saint Cyprien Plage
written by misskhali on January 4th, 2009 (2 votes)

Last year I was living in Toulouse in the south west of France. With friends we decided to go by the sea on a shinny Sunday, and the road lead us to Saint Cyprien, near Perpignan.

Saint Cyprien is a little town in two parts. Saint Cyprien the old village, and Saint Cyprien “plage” the new city in front of the Mediterranean Sea. The new city is made of concrete buildings facing the sea and beach accessories outlets for tourists. During the summer the city is probably full of people wearing swimsuits, tongs and sunglasses only… But during the winter there is nobody but us! A huge sand beach for five girls who wants to play Frisbee and have a picnic in the wind!

Anyway, if you want to go there, just go during the winter… You’ll have to wear a coat and a good scarf, but you’ll have to also wear sunglasses and you’ll be in a very quiet and pleasant place…
