The Rainbow Warrior, the legendary flagship of Green peace came the 8th of November 2008 to Oostende / Belgium.
The first “Rainbow Warrior” was sunken in New Zealand some 24 years ago by the french secret services. They were protesting against french nuclear tests in de pacific. The photographer Fernando Pereira died while trying to recover his cameras while the ship was sinking.
From ten on the world knew Green peace for their protest against environmental destruction and for wildlife preservation.
Green peace is starting an new campaign “Quit Cole”, to ban the heavily polluting electrical plants who are burning cole to transform it into electrical energy. People could visit the ship and Green peace members were explaining their work and ideals.
