Calleguas Creek

This dried up riverbed is somewhat out of place in this suburb. Nonetheless its a great spot for taking photos of its almost undisturbed ecosystem. During the rainy season its a river but the rest of the year its almost desert-like.

Since its all white sand, all the light reflects and seriously overexposes your film with the occasional heat damage on the hottest days. This spot is completely useless at night, as there is no lighting, in fact its probably quite dangerous because of the wildlife. This is my favorite place to go and clear my mind, take a walk, fill my shoes with sand, waste some more film, and its all within walking distance from my house.
