Andy's Milchbar (Weimar)

Okay, this is only special for Non-US-American lomographers - nevertheless, worth a visit for everyone enjoying nostalgic interiors and tasty and hand made fast food.

“Andy’s Milchbar” (“Milch” is the German word for “milk”) is a very fine place to go to in order to have a snack, to have a chat or, of cause, to take pictures in an extraordinary surrounding atmosphere. An old juke-box, typical diner chairs and the friendly owner adds to the nostalgic character.

Try one of the tasty milk shakes or a freshly made chili hot dog. Probably you are brave and get a big portion of garlic sauce for your hot dog. In addition you can get them for reasonable prices.

You can’t miss the diner when walking from the main railway station along the Carl-August-Allee to the city center. But don’t arrive too late! At the time when I visited the “Milchbar” its closing time was 6 pm.
