A Home Far Away From Home (Vietnam)

One of my last holidays was when i was traveling with my friends to Vietnam. After seeing bustling Hanoi and the surrounding areas we needed to get out to a more quiet and relaxing place. But where to go? We were reading in the guidebook about one Place called Sapa, a place nobody of us had ever heard before. The things we were reading sounded fine but the downside was that we had to go with the train for 16 hours followed by a bus trip of another 4 hours to get there. So we were really considering whether we do this trip or not because we didn´t have so much time especially no time for wasting.

Something was telling me we should stop thinking about the long journey and just go there. So i was trying to convince my pals and finally we were sitting in the train…

After arriving at the train station we took the bus and really from one moment to the other the landscape was getting more and more stunning. WOW we were thinking. Everything is so incredible green. But this wow-feeling was continuing. After checking in the Royal Sapa Hotel we were spending a lot of time just sitting on the balcony of our room and admiring the landscape. We were going to the restaurant of one guy we were meeting in the train and also the food in this place was incredible.

On one if the next days we went on a trekking trip. It was quite tough cause we were walking 30 km under a humidity of 100% and the sun burning down. But another time it was totally worth it cause we were rewarded with such beautiful and amazing landscapes. Also we were meeting a lot of local people on this trip and everybody was extremely friendly to us. We were never experience such a great hospitality. At the end we were staying one entire week in Sapa and it was very hard to move on. Sapa was the most peaceful, beautiful, amazing, incredible, terrific, marvelous place we have had stayed in our 6 week long trip.
