Corn mazes and Pumpkin Cannons! (Bon Accord)

If that sound like it has the potential to be a bit surreal then I got the title right. The Prairie Gardens Corn Maze is not quite in the middle of nowhere, but you’ll pass it on the way there.
It’s a farm full of activity that is quite popular with young families from the Edmonton area. If you want to pay a little too much to be surrounded by kids and goats running through a maze cut into a corn field – this is the place for you. If you get tired of running through the cornfield, you could always pull up a haybale and watch two guys dressed like pirates firing pumpkins out of a huge cannon.
Kids between the ages of 5 and 10 can be heard saying exciting things like, “hey this is such an awesome maze! or this is so fun to climb!” while the adults can be heard saying mundane things like, “this is a bunch of corn. or this is a pile of hay”.
Surreal.
The best time of year to go there is probably at the end of August – when the corn is high and not too dried out yet…
One kilometre east of Bon Accord on Hwy 28 and 2 kilometres north on Lily Lake Road.
