Sony Center
written by agrimony on November 6th, 2008 (0 votes)

The Sony Center is situated at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin (district Mitte) and is a big complex containing seven buildings.

It was designed by architect Helmut Jahn and the construction time lasts four years. In January 2000 the Entertainment area was opened and some month later the complete area.
On top of the building there is the 103m high Bahntower which can be seen from far away.

The Sony Center houses office spaces, living spaces, a movie house, an entertainment center, also spaces for retail trade and gastronomy on about 132500m². It is a big highlight to go there at night for a drink because the roof construction of the vast “patio” is a masterpiece!

Also the ambiance is very special there, everything is lighted but in a discreet way. It’s a really worth-seeing building in Berlin!
