Main Station Berlin
written by agrimony on October 28th, 2008 (0 votes)

The main station Berlin is the biggest crossing station of Europe and is situated in the district Berlin Mitte. It was put into operation on 28th of May 2006 instead of the precious Lehrter station. In 2007 it became station of the year.

The Main Station Berlin is a very modern station with two principal planes for rail traffic as well as three link layers and shopping areas. The building was designed by architect Meinhard von Gerkan. When I was in Berlin together with my sister we went there by plane but my sister and I visited the Main station Berlin because we are both interested in architecture. It is really a worth seeing building and we both were – among other things – impressed by the light flooded and transparent area.
