According to travel books, there are a few Floating Market around Bangkok. Most of them is commercialized imitation of Damnoen Saduak. The most popular floating market, one of the must-see one-day trips from Bangkok, is at Ratchaburi province, 101 km to the west of Bangkok (about two hour drive). The Damnoen Saduak market is the largest of its kind, attracting a large number of tourists each day. This floating market is the most lively place.
They are selling everything. You can have Thai style snack or breakfast on your boat. Fruits, snacks, hats, T-shirts, vegetables, silk dress, toys, you try anything, its there. Talking about fruits and vegetables, its best place to buy. Both at quality, quantity and price, local market in Bangkok hardly beat this place.
The souvenir sold at the floating market is slightly little bit more expensive then the night market available in town, but shopping and eating on the boat, and floating along the river was truly an unforgettable experience.
