I have been to Morib Beach (Pantai Morib in Malay) since I was in a secondary school. That time I did not have any camera and nothing that could help me to capture the memories. Until I fell in love with Lomography, I took this opportunity to go to this beach again together with my dearest family, my lovely Lomo & SLR camera.

Morib beach is located in Simpang Morib, which is about 10 km from Banting town. My mission to this beach were not swimming nor surfing. I can tell you what is the most exciting part in Morib Beach. I could just waited for the sea level flow away from the land.

This is the right timing for every Lomographers, tourists, couples and families to take off their shoes, slippers and flip-flops. The water will decline for about 500m to 1000m away from the land. My companionship and I also left our sandals on the land and started our journey from land to sea. We felt so comfort walking around the spacious wet ground / sand.

Along the way, we had seen so much of the small holes around the ground. What or who dig the holes? The small crabs did that job! There are so much of these small crabs running around here and there. If we move closer, it will just escape and run back into the holes. I called this thing a “mini-military”. It is because it has its own weapons to protect itself. Its’ always walking and digging the holes together in a group. We have tried very hard to catch these crabs. At last, my companionship got one! It clamped on her finger. But no worries, it won’t hurt because it’s too small. So funny! Of course, I’ve never forgot my camera.

Remember to be very careful because the ground is wet. Don’t let your camera falls down onto the wet ground! We just walked further and further. The atmosphere just changed like we are in the dessert now. It is so spacious and just empty. We only can see the sky, ground and a few people. Just imagine if the giant wave are coming to your way (Ha Ha)! Besides that, we had a chance to shoot the beautiful sunset. So, don’t forget to drop by this beach after you’ve landed in Malaysia. Take a Limo or taxi if you’re from the international airport (the nearest landmark). It will just spend you an hour ride to Morib Beach. If you’re from Kuala Lumpur city, then you have to take a bus to Banting from the bus station. Once you’ve reached Banting town, you have to shift a bus to Morib beach.
