Père Lachaise, Paris, France
written by grifter on September 24th, 2008 (0 votes)

It has taken me a long time to visit the cemetery Père Lachaise in the 11th arrondissement in Paris. So after many years, I got on the métro and went.

I advise you to buy a map … don’t think like I did “How big can a cemetery be in the center of Paris” wrong.. BIG! It has the graves of many famous people such as Edith Piaf, Marcel Proust, Oscar Wilde of course Jim Morisson… and many other graves, monuments and family tombs that are moving to say the least. It is a little amazing for me, an Australian, to see tombs older than the white history of my country. Beautiful spot, a must visit.
