Need a break from sunbathing because you are nearly looking like a tomato? no wind, or too much wind for surfing at Costa de la Luz?
Take the fast and comfortable ferry Tarifa-Tanger, and in 45 min. you are in a strange and oriental world, you can book a 1 day-tour all incl., but if you don’t like to walk with a rat’s tail of people behind you, take one of the friendly guides, which were offered at Tanger-Harbor from the Public Tourist Assoc. O.k., it will cost you 40 Euros, but you can walk and stop for photos when ever you want.
First Hassan and Mohammed drove us in a lovely old Benz around the modern part of the city and up to the garden hills, then we walked with Hassan around 7 hours through the interlocking narrow lanes of Kasbah and Medina. And at least we had a typical and cheap lunch in a non touristic restaurant.
