Croyde Bay
written by tommynorth on September 16th, 2008 , one comment (0 votes)

Croyde Bay can be found in north Devon. It’s an area of outstanding beauty and has the European Blue Flag status for its clean water and sand. It’s a great place to visit for a weekend to enjoy the pubs and a bit of surfing if you are that way inclined.

The village has several small campsites dotted around as well as a few bed and breakfasts. It also has a few surf shops that both sell and hire boards and wetsuits if you need some kit.

The beach itself is gorgeous. It’s a very large sandy beach with dunes at the back and various pieces of flotsam and jetsam to keep the budding Lomographer entertained for hours. Once the day is done, go and buy some local cider in a 5 liter jug and prepare for a sore head and furry teeth the next day!
