Water-Ferries Venezia

You don’t believe it until you see it. Sure, every child knows that Venezia is City of Water. But you have to see, feel, smell and touch it. Otherwise it is incomprehensible. But to do that you will have to take a water-ferry from the outside, like thousands of workers and even more thousand tourists. They all have to leave their motorized vehicles outside and take the water cab.

It is said that Venezia has a population of 270.000 citizens, but I have hear, that there are only 20.000 “real” Venetians around. It is quite a privilege to be one. Every street is made of water so everything is transformed into water world. You have Mail-Boats, Trash-Boats, Courier-Boats, Food-Boats, Ambulance-Boats and Scooter-Boats. The houses stand right at the shore and you can access through a Watergate. This all really turns on your creativity, because you have to deal with total opposites. Also the people are converted. They wait for the Water-Ferry like for the bus, read their newspaper on the water and get out to grab a quick espresso. But maybe it is only me, who is astonished;)
