Many years ago, this palace was a magnificent place and of great importance, but today only a recollection stays of what it was.The palace is located two kilometers from downtown of the little city of San Felipe in the valleys of central Chile. The construction began in 1886 by Arturo Edwards and ended in the year 1916.
From an architectonic point of view it’s a reply in a minor scale of the palace of Versailles, with more than 100 rooms, a swimming pool, a water mirror and 5 hectares of park. Unfortunately the earthquake of 1985 leaves the palace almost in ruins. Nowadays there are remains of the underground, kitchens and the jails.
