Duke is my favorite street in Liverpool, but I have to admit it wasn’t a love at first sight. There aren’t the same fashion shops you could find anywhere and no cool places published in magazines, and nowadays it’s hard to find.
What you’ll find ranges from abandoned warehouses to street art. Art galleries are hidden behind ruined facades, where you can enjoy local artist’s work. Some cafes offer a break in terraces out in the street. Every wall is decorated with funny drawings, graffitis, a written sentence or just is.
As Liverpool is smaller than you could imagine, you won’t have any problem finding it. I can’t imagine walking through Duke Street without any of my cameras loaded with expired slide film ready to x-process.
