Coco Beach (Nice)

When the summertime arrives, you almost have no chance to find a place on the main beaches of Nice, and perhaps on the whole Cote d’Azur: overcrowded with people, you must be lucky to find a square meter place to sit down…
That’s why, you must NOT go to these main beaches! There are some other places to go swimming, mainly known only by the locals… So, I’ll give you this secret location, but don’t tell the locals that I did, because they’ll be angry if to many “strangers” come to this beach…
Well, this beach is called “Coco Beach” and is located after the port of Nice. Go to the port, and follow the coastal road until the road begins to climb up. Park there, and you will see the sign “Coco Beach”, who is in fact the name of the restaurant above this Beach.
You’ll find no big sandy beach, but just rocks with there or there little platforms to lay down, and the way to the sea is sometimes a bit complicated, but the place is beautiful, quiet AND it is the perfect place to see the sunset!! It’s located on the east side of the city and when the evening comes, you will have a mind blowing seascape in front of you, an amazing sunset with fascinating colors. Often, some groups take to drink and eat and pass the whole evening there…..
