Ever felt so strange and like being totally childish mistaken with something? Now I have this feeling when I am trying to submit a place, that could be natural and boring for all the Austrian Lomographers, including the mighty LSI. That is the St. Stephan’s Cathedral right in the center of the Vienna oldtown…
The problem is, that me, as a tourist in Vienna, had no idea it is so interesting and that I should find it. In place of doing that I did walk around the city, get tired and only 5 minutes before the rain I did discover this huge “sacred building” that is believed to stand on other two churches’ ruins. It is normal, that As the most important religious building in Austria’s capital, the this cathedral has born witness to many important events in that nation’s history and has become one of the city’s most recognizable symbols (and how didn’t I know that?!?! Maybe should start reading the Lonely Planet instead of Rumble Book?). It must be white (could be), but is covered with dust so it looks grey or somewhere even black.
The roof is made of small plates, that form a picture and so on and so on… What is more, I found that the are around it is also very good for lomography – there are a lot of horses (another thing, that can be bored to Vienna’s residents), that are waiting for LC-A to blink in front of their eyes. Even the rain did not ruin my day – i did enter one of many book-shops there… Do not ask me how much did I leave there (that still hurts…)
