This is where people flash their boobs and get the beads and show their gay junk depending on the time of year but it is more than that. It is like a history theme park and reminds me of Disney world but with tons of liquor and crime and the like. Most of these busted down buildings are from the French era mixed with the English and African and some pirates for spice, it is just lovely.
DO NOT get drunk with your expensive cameras and go out to capture the night. Only bring pricey cameras if you can fight off the pickpockets and wacky mentally ill and the drunks. I did a sober night with the zenith and a drunk night with a lomolito!!!! Awesome.
Oh, if a guy comes up to you and says “i bet i know where you got your shoes” and then they bet you 5 dollars and when you say you got them at pay less they say no, “you got them in New Orleans” because in African American English got means have, white Americans translate got as bought or brought from a place or origin… so anyways bet them then say “New Orleans is where I got them” and then they will get mad and not pay you and run away but it is better than them asking for money from you… anyways you really should go there, the flood happened and they need the bucks.
