Eglukalns, as far as I know, is one of the favorite Latvian place in winter because it is one of the biggest hills in Latvia and there is the skiing route. But I was here during summer! To find this place is quite easy because there are the road signs telling which way to go but the road is OMG … Poor car have to go on a very long time on the gravel road :)
Eglukalns is located in Daugavpils district near the Lithuanian border. The place is just wonderful. There are big survey tower and you have enough courage to reach the top of this tower you will see not only landscape of Latvia but even the forests in Lithuania. It is fantastic!
