The « Vallon des Auffes » is a tiny harbour located on the seaside of Marseille, about 20 minutes walk east from the more famous Vieux Port. It is a very picturesque place, with little fishermen houses, traditional fishing boats, and famous seafood restaurants.

A very nice place to take photographs, or eat a bouillabaisse, the typical fish soup of Marseille. Auffiers were craftsmen who made ropes and rigging.
