Domm de Milan
written by dahliawebbs on July 14th, 2008 (0 votes)

The Duomo di Milano aka ‘Domm’ is the main cathedral in Milan and one of the finest examples of gothic architecture. Made in marble, its white striking figure is well known to every tourist who comes in Italy.

The building itself is very complex and counts 3200 statues spread all over it, terraces, spires and the famous golden Virgin Mary statue, the Madunina. She looks after Milan from an height of more than 100 mt.

I highly suggest to climb the stairs and go to the terraces, you’ll enjoy a different view of Milan and it’s easy to get mind-lost in its chiseled work, looking at the different statues and appreciating the different shades of marble.
