Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a great Lomo opportunity. The grounds are enormous, taking in open fields with sculptures seemingly randomly dotted about, woodland areas, ‘park’ areas with more concentrated works, and indoor galleries. Each one is a new Lomographic challenge!
The open fields have many of Henry Moore’s bronze sculptures, and lots of sheep wandering around who can be almost as tempting photographically as the sculptures on occasion! Then there are also changing exhibitions from exciting contemporary artists. Even the woodland areas are fun to explore and photograph – I felt like a child again, climbing over branches and squeezing between trees!
When I last went there was a motion-detecting sound piece which was a lot of fun, and something I image you could expect more of. It is a great place to spend an afternoon (at least – you’ll need quite a bit of time to get round it all!), even if the weather isn’t amazing. There is so much to photograph and it is a wonderful place for x-pro shots.
