Coney Island is the world’s center of Freak Show, the paradise for Lomo addicts. If you really want to go to the past, with no need of using time machines, is as easy as taking the D, F, N or Q trains from Manhattan to Coney Island. During the journey, at least one hour long, you can even sightseeing Brooklyn.
Once you get there and go out of the station, the first thing you see is Nathan’s Famous (http://nathansfamous.com), where the legend says the hot dog was born. Believe me, they’re really good. If you like to compete, go on 4th July to the Hot Dog Eating Contest … my advice, go hungry!
As you walk through the boardwalk, you will notice that Coney Island has a proper atmosphere. Major attractions are connected by the walk: Wonder Wheel (1918), The Cyclone roller coaster by Astroland (1927), the New York Aquarium and so on. Don’t miss the Coney Island Museum, just $0.99! – where you will see old pictures and will discover the mythic Elephant Hotel.
Too many reasons for visiting New York and miss Coney Island.
