White House Coffee Shop

It is a small but famous coffee shop with an easy-to-remember name- White House. Located in front of the mosque in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. This is the place where you can have a very fine coffee and great toast with Kaya (coconut jam), and of cause you wouldn’t want to miss their half-boiled eggs.
The coffee "o’ is simply the best coffee in town and I bet every coffee addict will love it! The toast is served with their home-made Kaya and butter – it is so delicious and sweet smelling. The half-boiled egg is so well done and it makes a very good combination when you have it with the Kaya toast. There are other local foods as well, like the Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang… etc.
The shop doesn’t have a large space therefore most of the time when you visit at night, you probably need to queue up, but believe me, it is worth queuing! When to go? Their opening hours are from 9am-1pm, and 7pm to 2am. What is the best to shoot? The environment: a typical style local coffee shop with wooden tables and chairs; the kitchen is open and you can look in; the crowds of multiple races… I’m visiting it every time when I am back in my hometown. It is nice place to hang out with my family and friends during the supper time!
