Villa Auska

The Villa AUSKA, I would like to present you, was build in late 60s for Leonid Brezhnev – General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1964 – 1982), but he never stayed there. It is a beautiful and authentic place in the forest near the seaside in the city of Palanga.

The whole area is huge, it has more than 23 ha of park. The Villa has 10 apartments, a conference rooms, swimming pool and sauna, bar and billiards, and table tennis, hall with sports equipment, treatment baths and massage.

The Interior is very authentic. I spent some amazing hours exploring the building. Most of the space is covered by white and grey marble or if not then oakwood. The forms remind 60s and the spaces are large and walls are high – that talks about the power. Some furniture has been left from the 60s, just the fabrics has been changed. The original ones are in dark red or brown leather.

I was amazed mostly about the authentic swimming pool with heated sea water and the view to the sea. I could say it is the blue heart of the Villa. The pool shape has stylized form of Lithuania. The brass lamp complex with enameled details in blue, red ceilings, many fems, old clock and red sofa it is just a perfect combination for eyes and for soul: sea water is +29 Celsius, humidity is 100%. I was so glad I could take in one Horizon picture.
Other pearls are the massage rooms. They reminded me some interiors from the book I recently watched “Love Hotels: The Hidden Fantasy Rooms of Japan”, just handcuffs were missing. Polaroid pictures would be perfect here!
It has some more hidden places, but only rooms left a secret for me. The Lithuanian president comes with his quests here. But it is also possible to rent a space for a party or a room for 230 Euro. The price for the room is much higher than in our hotels in Palanga. The best time to come is in summer time to spend nice time not only in Villa, but also around it. From swimming pool is only 100 metres to the sea through the dunes. One more thing: the food is fantastic!
