MYTH MYTH MYSTERY. Do you want to discover a very special place, close to Cannes (on the French Riviera)? Follow me to the Clew’s Castle in La Napoule.
Built in the 14th century, the ruins of the medieval castle of La Napoule were rebuilt by an ultra rich and eccentric American artist and his wife in the first half of the 20th century.
Henry Clews, a symbolist sculptor fond of Rodin, but self-made artist, entirely decorated the ancient castle of La Napoule. His wife, restored the gardens in a mixed style: a part of French classicism married to English romanticism.
The result is very unique! You can visit the gardens for 3€, or the whole property for 6€. It is open every day.
In summer concerts take place at night. You can also rest in the delightful
outdoor tea room. And of course, the beach is close to the Castle, with a stupendous view on the golden cornice of the Esterel Mountains.

How to go there:
By car: A8 highway, exit “Mandelieu”
By train: the train station of La Napoule is very close to the Clew’s museum.
