What I love about this beach is that I grew up there and this is where I’m from…not from the beach but the town called KUANTAN. This is the place like any other tropical beach minus the sun tanning craze fashion. This is a tropical beach in a fairly medium size town on the east coastline of Peninsula Malaysia. A very south-east Asian place where the locals don’t strip to the max to enjoy having fun at the beach.
We just love to picnic, spending time with family, flying kites, having fun at the playground, beach games, sitting at the food stalls and restaurants, we only have 2 cafes and one is McDonald ha-haaa.
Years back it used to be more beautiful with its golden sand but you know people come and go. Some are really rude and irresponsible and don’t really care for their surrounding and environment.
It is heart breaking to see trash left behind after picnics – eat and throw you trash away. You can find lots of rubbish bins set up everywhere with ease of reaching and use them. But now things get better not as bad as it used to be, I think they just need to be educated or get kicked-punched-thrown for their sins! Whatever happens I still love to hang out with friends there. I love my beach.
