Stanley Market is a very good place to empty your wallet, there’s a lot of shops selling hand made souvenirs, crafts and clothes. Tired of shopping? It’s time to get an ice-cold beer! Make a 5 minute journey to Stanley Bay; there are some contemporary cafes and pubs facing milky white sand and deep blue sea with salty wind. Sit down, enjoy your beer – everything in the world is left behind you.
Plus! There’s a Hong Kong Maritime Museum located on the ground floor of Murray House which is also located in front of Stanley Bay. The museum illustrates the development of boats, ships, maritime exploration and naval warfare. The museum includes semi-permanent and special exhibitions, dynamic displays, educational events and a museum shop.
Stanley is also popular among windsurfers. Stanley Dragon Boat Championships each year in June to celebrate the Tuen Ng Festival.
