Do you love fishing? Actually fishing was not my real hobby. My boss is the one who knows fishing very well and often takes me to fish. Semenyih is a small town located in Selangor, Malaysia. It shares its name with Semenyih River, which is the main river passing near the town.
The catchment area of this river is an important source of water for Kuala Lumpur. This was my first fishing and Lomo trip. My LC-A will never escape me. Many locals and the people from the large cities will take about one and the half hours drive to reach this place just only for fishing activities.
Me and my chef, we reached it early morning just after the beautiful sunrise. Parked our car at the silent roadside and started walking down to the fresh and a cold river. Fishing may be a very boring but the situation will turn into crazy and unbelievable when you catch a fish. Big fish? or small fish? will always stuck in your mind. Besides than fishing on the riverside, you can drive a few miles away from here. There is quite many fishing ponds available. But, you need to pay for that. Tell you what, I got a big fish here. Don’t forget to ask your buddies to capture the moments for you. People who are nuts for a fishing holidays, Semenyih Dam is a right place for a challenging one. It’s a nice place to Lomo as well. The green forested hills, fresh river, great dam, huge lakes and a lifestyle are just good for Lomographers. If you have your own boat, don’t forget to bring it!
