The beach of Sant Miquel just at the end of the area of Barceloneta (and often called Barceloneta Beach), is one of the famous beaches of Barcelona. Sure, many tourists are going to this beach in the summer, and in the middle of the afternoon it’s really full and difficult to find a place… But if you go there early in the morning (8.00 am or after 7.00 pm) or in the late afternoon, you’ll have the beach almost for you alone :).
There are a lot of little counters where you can buy something to eat or to drink, and there are also a lot of itinerant sellers of drinks (even if it is illegal and they run away when the police comes…) for a very low price. And what I like also is the last building of Barceloneta before the beach: a very ordinary building of the 70’s but with a real charm and character in front of the beach. I don’t really know why I like it, but there’s something special. Have a look at the pics, but it’s “THE” building of Barceloneta beach, for sure…
